Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
These documents are the agreement you accept when you order: the order page asks you to tick "I agree to the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy" before you pay, and the Terms of Service incorporate every other document listed here.
In plain language. Do not use our servers to attack, scan, spam, defraud or infect anyone. Do not host illegal material, pirated software, cracked or leaked paid content, or anything that sexualises minors — that last one gets an immediate termination and a report to the authorities. Do not mine cryptocurrency, do not run stress-test tools, and do not try to get around the limits of your plan. You are responsible for what your staff and your players do on your server. Most first problems get a warning and a deadline; the serious ones do not. This box is a summary; the numbered sections below are the policy.
This policy is part of the terms you accept at checkout. When you tick "I agree to the Terms of Service and the Refund Policy" you accept this Acceptable Use Policy, which the Terms of Service incorporate. A Service suspended or terminated under this policy is not refunded.
1. Scope and Principles
1.1. This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") applies to every Service we provide: game servers, bot hosting, VPS and web hosting when offered, and any software we host for you.
1.2. Use the Services lawfully and in a way that does not harm TridentSky, our infrastructure, other customers or third parties.
1.3. You are responsible for all activity on your Service, whether it comes from you, your staff, your players, your members, your visitors, or anyone who gains access through your configuration or credentials.
1.4. This Policy applies in addition to the law of the United States, the law of the place where you live, and the terms of the games, platforms and software you run.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not store, publish, distribute, link to or transmit through a Service:
- Content that is illegal where you live, in the State of Washington or in the United States.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises a minor. See Section 3.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property rights, including pirated games, cracked or "nulled" software, unlicensed media, and unauthorised copies of paid plugins, mods, maps, scripts, resource packs, gamemodes or bots.
- Material that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, incites violence against a person or group, or coordinates real-world harm.
- Threats, harassment campaigns, doxxing, or the trade of stolen data, credentials, accounts or payment details.
- Malware, ransomware, exploit kits, credential stealers, phishing pages or fraudulent storefronts.
- Content that misrepresents you as another person, company or public authority.
3. Child Sexual Abuse Material — Zero Tolerance
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material and for any content that sexualises minors. A Service used to store, share, produce or link to such material is terminated immediately and without notice, all data is preserved for the investigation, and the material, the Account and the associated records are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement. There is no warning, no appeal on the merits of the report and no refund. This rule has no exceptions.
4. Prohibited Network Activity
You may not use a Service to:
- Originate, take part in, command or facilitate a denial-of-service attack (DoS/DDoS), flood, reflection or amplification attack, whether or not the target consented, and whether or not the traffic leaves our network.
- Operate or control a botnet, a stresser or "booter" service, or command-and-control infrastructure of any kind.
- Scan, probe, fingerprint or test the security of systems or networks you do not own and are not authorised in writing to test.
- Attempt unauthorised access to any system, account, network or data, including our infrastructure, the Panel and other customers' servers.
- Spoof IP addresses, forge headers or packet contents, or disguise the origin of traffic; run open resolvers or open relays that can be abused for reflection.
- Distribute malware, or host tooling whose purpose is to compromise third-party systems or accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the network, the nodes, the Panel or the client area, including through automated request floods.
5. Spam and Unsolicited Messaging
You may not send unsolicited bulk or commercial messages from a Service — by email, Discord, in-game chat, direct message or any other channel — nor harvest contact details without permission, nor host content, landing pages or infrastructure advertised by spam sent from anywhere. Bots hosted with us must only message users and servers that asked for them, and must respect the rate limits and policies of the platform they run on.
6. Resource Abuse on Shared Nodes
6.1. Game servers run on shared nodes. Each Service gets the memory, CPU allowance and storage of its plan and may use them fully for the purpose of the product — running your game server, bot, application or site.
6.2. The following are prohibited because they take capacity from other customers on the same machine:
- Cryptocurrency mining and any other proof-of-work or "coin" computation, including mining in a container, in a plugin, in a bot or on behalf of somebody else.
- Stress-testing, benchmarking, load-generation and "booter" software, whether aimed at our hardware or at anything else.
- Processes designed to consume CPU, memory, disk I/O or bandwidth beyond the purpose of the Service, including deliberate fork bombs, infinite loops and artificial load.
- Using the Service as general file storage, a download mirror, a media library or a backup target unrelated to the hosted application.
- Circumventing the limits of your plan: tampering with the container or the agent, hiding processes, faking resource reporting, running workloads outside the allocated environment, or spreading one workload across several accounts to dodge a limit.
6.3. If a Service degrades the performance or stability of other customers, we may throttle it, stop it or suspend it, and will tell you when it is practical to do so.
7. Proxies, Relays and Resale
7.1. You may not operate open proxies, public VPN endpoints, Tor relays or exit nodes, or similar anonymising traffic relays, and you may not resell such services, unless we agree in writing.
7.2. You may let others use the server you host — your community's staff, players or members. You remain the Customer and are responsible for their conduct.
7.3. Reselling hosting capacity to third parties requires our written agreement.
8. Licences, Cracked Servers and Leaked Content
8.1. You may not host game modes, scripts, maps, plugins, mods, bots, panels or other content obtained without authorisation, including copies of other communities' servers, leaked or "nulled" paid resources, licence-key generators, cracked authentication servers, and anything whose licence does not permit the use you are making of it.
8.2. You must hold the licences that the software you run requires, and comply with them.
8.3. Rights holders can report infringement under the DMCA and Copyright Policy. We act on credible reports from the original author or their representative.
9. Game Publisher and Platform Rules
9.1. Each game you host is subject to the terms of its publisher, and complying with them is your responsibility. This includes, among others, the rules of Mojang Studios and Microsoft for Minecraft; the policies of Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive covering MTA:SA, SA-MP and FiveM; the terms of Facepunch Studios for Rust; the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Valve's rules for Counter-Strike 2; the terms of Hypixel Studios for Hytale; and the terms of Bohemia Interactive for Arma Reforger.
9.2. Bots must comply with the terms, developer terms and developer policy of the platform they run on, including Discord's.
9.3. Selling in-game items, ranks or perks is your business, but it must comply with the publisher's monetisation rules; a publisher complaint about your server is a matter between you and them, and we may act on it under Section 12.
10. Accounts, Credentials and Evasion
10.1. Do not share your Account password or your two-factor codes. Our staff never ask for your password.
10.2. You may grant other people access to your server through the Panel's user features. You remain responsible for what they do; remove access when they no longer need it.
10.3. You may not open new Accounts to evade a suspension or termination, use false identity or payment details, abuse promotions or free credit, or use a payment method you are not authorised to use.
11. Security of Your Own Service
11.1. Keep the software you run patched, use strong credentials, and do not expose administrative interfaces without protection. A compromised server that attacks others is still your responsibility.
11.2. Tell us as soon as you know that your server or your Account has been compromised, so we can help contain it.
12. Enforcement
12.1. We do not routinely monitor the content of customers' servers. We investigate when we get a complaint, when monitoring shows abnormal network or resource behaviour, or when the law requires it.
12.2. Ordinary enforcement follows a ladder, and we use the least disruptive step that solves the problem:
- Notice. We contact you with what we found and a deadline to fix it, usually 24 to 72 hours depending on severity.
- Limit. We throttle resources or stop the offending process or server while you fix it.
- Suspension. The Service is stopped and access is blocked; data is kept while the matter is open.
- Termination. The Service, and where warranted the Account, is terminated and the data deleted.
12.3. We skip the ladder and suspend or terminate immediately, without prior notice, when there is child sexual abuse material; an attack originating from your Service; malware, phishing or command-and-control hosting; a botnet or stresser service; payment fraud or a stolen payment method; a credible threat to life; a legal order; or an active security risk to our infrastructure or other customers.
12.4. A repeated breach of the same kind after a warning is treated as a serious breach.
12.5. We may remove or disable specific content instead of acting on the whole Service, notify affected third parties and rights holders, preserve evidence, and report the matter to the authorities where the law requires or the seriousness justifies it.
12.6. No refund or credit is due for a Service limited, suspended or terminated under this Policy, and the data of a terminated Service is deleted and cannot be recovered.
12.7. If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, reply to the notice or open a ticket with the evidence. We review appeals for everything except Section 3.
13. Reporting Abuse
To report abuse coming from one of our servers, write to [email protected] with the IP address and port, the date and time with the time zone, a description of what happened and any logs or evidence you can share. Copyright reports follow the DMCA and Copyright Policy. We review every report and act as described in Section 12.
14. Changes
We may update this Policy as described in the Terms of Service, with notice by email or in the client area at least 14 days before the change takes effect, except where a change is required by law or addresses an immediate security or legal risk.
